Deepavali Cooking Demo in Melaka

On the occasion of their Deepavali celebration, Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall invited KDU over to Melaka. They had arranged for a kaleidoscope of activities during this festive season and a cooking demo by our dedicated chefs would make it even more exciting.

Chef HamirudinChef HamirudinThus, on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of October, Chefs Yahaya and Hamirudin, accompanied by a few students and representatives of the marketing department made their way down to Melaka. In the food court of Makota Parade - the best spot for such an activity- they set up a stall.
Interested visitors could learn with tricks on how to cook up a delicious masala chicken and other traditional Indian dishes, that Chef Yahaya prepared. Of course, they could sample all the delicacies.

But also with a fruit carving demonstartion was an eye opener to many of the shoppers. Most had never seen the skillfully crafted art of Chef Hamirudin. This, however, was not for consumption.

They left Mahkota parade after a long but fulfilling session, knowing that they had left a lasting impression.
