SPECIALISED CERTIFICATE COURSES
As a foundation programme, the Specialised Certificate Courses Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK, formerly known as Majlis Latihan Vokasional Kebangsaan, MLVK) train students in basic hospitality skills. These courses are designed to be flexible and hence conducted on a full-time basis.

Upon completion of the courses, students can choose to further their studies in the Diploma programme. Otherwise, they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to work in entry level-positions in hotels, restaurants or any other food service establishment.

  • JPK in Kitchen Practice
  • JPK in Front Office

To ensure maximum benefit from these courses, the students are also given training in basic communication skills and public relations. This will help students to develop essential personality traits to succeed in the hospitality environment.
